    An interesting and well written history of Rhodes and the ethnic and political relationships of the past 100 years The title is somewhat misleading as it is really about the Sephardi presence on Rhodes and the relationships with the other ethnic groups from the Italian Conquest at the beginning of the 20th century to the Holocaust He raises several interesting historical points but seems to have some serious biases He found the Greek submission to Ottoman rule for 4 centuries as pretty much only an inconvenience and frowns upon Greek nationalism as contrary to the interest of the Sephardi Christianity seems to have been a major mistake and somehow Greek beliefs could have civilized Europe a thousand years sooner had not Constantine adopted Christianity And I m not sure where he thinks this was going but if not ...
